Bettinardi Golf signs former World No.2 amateur standout & LPGA rising star Patty Tavatanakit

Bettinardi Golf, leader in precision milled putters and inventor of one-piece technology, is proud to announce the official signing of former World No. 2 amateur and LPGA Tour rising player Patty Tavatanakit.

Entering her sophomore season on the LPGA Tour, Tavatanakit will play her DASS (Double Aged Stainless Steel) Studio Stock 3 putter, with her first tournament this weekend at the Gainbridge Championship in Orlando, Florida.

Patty attended the University of California Los Angeles, where she became a 7-time winner and two-time WGCA First Team All-American. With her success at UCLA, Patty qualified and became the Low Amateur at the 2018 U.S. Women’s Open, where she finished T5. Turning pro shortly after, she earned the title of Gaelle Truet Rookie of the Year in 2019 on the Symetra Tour.

Tavatanakit, 21, began her rookie season on the LPGA Tour in 2020, and through a shortened season with tournament cancellations, Patty was quick to earn two top-10 finishes and placed 4th in eagles on Tour, trusting her Studio Stock 3 compact mallet.

Tavatanakit visited Studio B, Bettinardi Golf’s state-of-the-art fitting studio last spring to get dialed-in with her putter using the Quintic putting system and to gear up for rookie season on the LPGA and to meet Robert and Sam Bettinardi, and their Tour staff to official begin her journey on Bettinardi.

“I was always a big fan of Bettinardi Golf during my collegiate days, and now I couldn't be more excited to be part of their official Tour staff,” Tavatanakit said. “Being able to visit their shop, see the technology, and try all their face millings to find my perfect putter was truly awesome. The confidence I now have in my putting is the best it has been, and I’m really looking forward to this season and seeing it pay off on the greens.”

Tavatanakit joins a young lineup of LPGA Bettinardi Staffers, Annie Park, Muni He, among others and Bettinardi’s PGA Tour stars, such as No.16 in the world Matthew Fitzpatrick, two-time European Tour champion Sam Horsfield, 2020 CJ Cup Champion Jason Kokrak, and long-time staffers Matt Kuchar and Fred Couples.

“Patty is the exact player that my father and I are very excited about adding to Team Bettinardi Tour staff,” Vice President Sam Bettinardi said. “Working with her over the past year, she’s displayed her intelligence around her putting and we’ve seen the dedication from her to want to be the best putter on the LPGA Tour. She’s really putting in the hard work and that’s the exact player we love to align with at Bettinardi Golf.”

Bettinardi’s Tour staff earned 7 wins in 2020, bringing the company to over 85 wins across all tours. Bettinardi Golf. is confident that adding Tavatanakit to their growing LPGA Tour staff will only look to bolster more wins in the 2021 season.
